Motor Flying and Learning

Hilversum Airfield (http://goo.gl/maps/Bjt7E)
grass runway => problematic in wet season

ACHA: Aeroclub Hilversum/ Amsterdam (http://www.vliegclubhilversum.nl)
– also organized as club, but involvement of club members in running the club is not really required
– they have 3 Cessna 172 and 2 Katana (no Motorglider)
– Katana is around 110 €/h, Cessna around 155 €/h (without instructor)
– flight instructors need to be paid (they are club members and offer it to cheaper conditions as flight schools)

Dwarf Powered Gliders (http://www.dwarf.nl)
– professional flight school
– they offer whole range training with motorglider, Micro Light Aircraft and SEP
– most probably the best value for money for time. No club business, just go and take the flight lesson (incl instructor) for 111,-€ with a motorglider, 156,- € with the MLA and SEP

VSH: Vliegschool Hilversum (http://vliegschool-hilversum.nl/)
– professional flight school
– most probably best training that you can get, but comes at a cost 😉
– offer MLA and SEP training on Cessna 172, Piper Archer III and Tecnam P2000

Lelystad Airport (http://goo.gl/maps/V92Wl)
concrete runway

Vliegschool Lelystad (http://www.vliegschool-lelystad.nl/)
I have no more information on them, just check the web site

Nimbus Air Vliegschool (http://www.nimbusair.nl/)
– professional flight school (also for commercial pilot licence)
– I have no more information on them, just check the web site

Rotterdam Airport (http://goo.gl/maps/DRf52)
concrete runway

Club Plane Alpi Pioneer 300 Kite
Our club plane is expected to fly from Rotterdam airport. Final decision will be taken at the AGM 2020 and re-assessed on a yearly base.

VCR: Vliegclub Rotterdam (http://www.vliegclubrotterdam.nl/)
I have no more information on them, just check the web site

RAC: Rotterdamsche Aero Club (http://www.rac-nl.com)
I have no more information on them, just check the web site

There may be even more options, especially in Lelystad and Rotterdam. Just check the web ;). The closest, with the best prices and options for us is Hilversum. I would pick Dwarf in Hilversum  for beginners and people who just want to have a look at flying and try to find out if it is something for them. In case you want to go for a PPL-SEP pilot license (flying Cessnas & Co), we would recommend Aero Holland in Lelystad (because of the English exam option, but may also be possible with one of the guys in Hilversum -> to be checked).
